Ina Wiechterich
Ina was born in and schooled in Europe. She began her dance training at the dance academy in Cologne. She danced for the Aurinko Baletti (Finland) and was a member of the Folwang Tanzstudio under Malou Airaudo in Essen, Germany and a guest performer with the Wuppertahaler Tanztheater of Pina Bausch. Ina has also danced in America, Russia and Asia.
She relocated to Cape Town in 1999, she is currently teacher and choreographer for Jazzart Dance Theatre and performs and teaches the Argentine tango with Mark Hoebern. Ina has been closely associated with the work of Vleis Rys en Aartappels as performer and choreographer, most recently for the award winning production ALTYD JONKER. She has opened a magnificent light-filled studio space in Cape Town with her husband Owen Manamela.
